It was at a certain day I noticed two tall paintings standing with their fronts towards the wall. It seemed to me like they were just bagging me to be turned around and when I did I looked at the back of a young and very lovely lady. A spring goddess, painted with lots of flowers arranged around her long curly hair. The painting was created in all sort of shades of beautiful pinks, violets and reds.
I still remember how I was awe-struck about such tender poetry which was reflected in the painting. Also I remember how delighted I was when turning it around the second painting happened to be the counterpart of the first one.
How surprisingly it was to see how the spring goddess looked at me with a very sweet and mysterious smile. Like she was telling me, she had patiently been waiting till I would find  her and bring her to the attic.
For many long years after since I told my goddess my most deep secrets and numerous of affectations. But often enough I had to suffer tuff times without her comforting beauty.

Of course it was bound to happen that one day my dad had to discover my secret place. Without saying a word about it and with quite a big smile on his face he inspected the treasures and looked at them like he saw them for the very fist time again..

However he didn’t say a word about all the other stuff, my spring goddess was directed downstairs again.
Now I have forgotten what it was exactly, but this event happened on a moment he felt I needed punishment for some wrong doing… and obviously this he found the right correction.

For years the goddess was often transported down to the basement like this and on even so many occasions I took her back, when I myself found the correction had been enough.
When I had done something really, really bad I thought it better to leave her downstairs for a while, but when I thought it to be an utterly unfair act, this could be immediately after my dad turned his back.
All this time I supposed this was a sort of gentlemen agreement, but many years later he confessed never having any notion of such a thing. He had only be teasing me a little.
